The Challenge allows the brightest minds in investment management and finance to come together and pit their skills against one another in presenting their ideas to a panel of top industry professionals. The process will be rigorous and in-depth to unveil the best stock recommendation.

The Challenge provides a platform for participants to network with like-minded peers as well as the industry leader panel. Given the dynamic nature and intricacies of the business industry, these connections will serve participants well in the future.

The Challenge

1. Kickoff Briefing

4:30PM - 6:20PM
Point72 representatives will give a talk on the firm and Nanyang Capital will conduct an introductory lesson for participants unfamiliar with stock pitching. We will also reveal the list of stocks for teams to select from and review the submission & assessment requirements. Finally, we will end with a short Q&A session.
2. Preliminary Submission

What if I have no prior experience in stock pitching? Can I still participate?
Of course! We will have a short introductory lesson during the Virtual Kick-off Briefing.
What are the team requirements? Can members be from different schools?
Team size is restricted to 1 to 4 undergraduates who can be from different Singapore universities. (NUS, NTU, SMU, SIM, SUTD, SUSS, SIT)

What are the deliverables required and stocks the team can choose from?
For the preliminary round, a 5-page written report with a 5-page appendix, as well as an Excel financial model will be required.
For the final round, a pitch deck of a maximum of 10 slides (not including the appendix) and an Excel financial model will be required.

What will be covered during the Virtual Kick-off Briefing on 30 Jan 2026?
Point72 will be sharing more about the firm and conduct an introductory lesson on equity research and stock pitching. Nanyang Capital will then reveal the list of stocks for teams to select from and review the submission and assessment requirements. There will be a short Q&A session at the end for you to clarify any questions you may have.​
